PressFit PF41 30mm Bottom Bracket
If you run a frame with a PF41 bottom bracket and want to run a crank with a 30 mm axle, Hope's new version of their PF41 is the best option we're aware of. With 30 mm axles becoming the standard for enduro cranks and PF41 frames being designed to run 24 mm axles, bearings were always some sort of compromise. Hope's previous solution was to run two bearings pressed directly into the shell. The problem with that solution was that there were more opportunities for dirt to get past the seals.
We now have a new solution. Hope have their own custom designed, Swiss manufactured bearing that allows a full bottom bracket assembly with fully sealed internal centre tube and external bearing shields.
These bearings are also more tolerant to misalignment to account for manufacturing tolerances in the frame BB shell. All this creates a more durable and longer lasting bottom bracket.
