Podium Fork MY26 Standard Tapered HT
This version of the Podium fork features a standard 52-44mm tapered steerer.
Designed to be ridden like a downhill fork, the new Podium is the first mass market inverted enduro fork. Inverting the fork means the smaller, more flexible stanchions are in the lower part of the fork, with the beefier upper tubes at the top where they can resist flex.
Previous inverted forks suffered from flex lower in the fork that a conventional fork's bridge counteracts. The new Podium fork has an oversized 20mm axle to combat flex in the lowers, so you might need a new hub or end caps.
First impressions are that the stiffer upper allows the new Glidepath spring to make the most of its isolation from the stanchions. Everyone who's ridden the fork has been raving about the fork being a noticeable upgrade from the 38 in terms of stiffness and responsiveness.
Sitting in the Fox range between the 38 and the 40, the Podium also has a custom version of the new GRIP X2 damper.
